Frequently Asked Questions

What is this service?

Orpheus Art Alerts provides early-access alerts when specific artworks, antiques, or rare collectibles become available for sale anywhere in the world.

We monitor fragmented, hard-to-access, and often overlooked sources – and notify you before items become widely visible on Google, major platforms, or AI search tools.

Why use Orpheus Art Alerts instead of Google or AI search?

Google and AI search tools are excellent for finding information that is already highly visible and well indexed. We use them too. However, many rare artworks, antiques, collectibles, and newly available pieces never appear prominently in traditional search results.

Orpheus Art Alerts combines Google search, advanced AI search, direct source monitoring, and our own growing network of galleries, auction houses, estate sales, dealers, and artists. Every day we search millions of listings and catalogues, including many specialized sources that are difficult to discover through ordinary searches.

In addition, many artists register directly with Orpheus, allowing collectors to discover new works as soon as they become available—sometimes before they reach the artist's preferred gallery or public marketplace. The result is earlier discovery, broader coverage, and access to opportunities that standard search tools often miss.

How does Orpheus find works that other search services miss?

Most search engines and AI systems focus on content that is publicly visible, heavily linked, and frequently indexed. Orpheus goes much further.

We combine traditional Google search, AI-powered discovery tools, direct relationships with galleries and auction houses, specialized database monitoring, and artist submissions. Our systems continuously examine a vast network of art, antiques, estate sale, auction, and collectible sources to identify specific works our members are seeking.

Because artists can also submit their work directly to Orpheus, members may receive alerts about newly available pieces before they appear in galleries, auctions, or major online marketplaces. This multi-layered approach gives collectors, advisors, and institutions access to a much larger universe of opportunities than conventional search alone.
